Single Track to Success
The Carcross Singletrack to Success (S2S) is a Carcross/Tagish First Nation (CTFN) project initiated in 2006 with the mandate to develop a world-class network of single-track trails in the Carcross area. The proposed network encompasses approximately 75-100 kilometres of trails in the Carcross/Montana Mountain area.
The credo of S2S is “building a destination one trail at a time.” CTFN draws inspiration for this project from other rural areas throughout the world that have invested in trails with demonstrable benefits to the economic and social well being of their residents.
To date, about 35- 40 kilometres of trail have been reclaimed and/or newly constructed on Montana Mountain, employing over 15 local youths and generating hundreds of hours of volunteer support. The trails attracted thousands of users every summer.
This amazing adventure had been filmed in 2015 (check that) and the result is SHIFT, a 28min multi-awarded documentary.
