Post Office

The Carcross Post Office first opened on this site on June 12, 1902, in a building that also served as the telegraph office and the NWMP detachment. That building existed prior to 1899, when the NWMP moved into it. The first postmaster was W.J. Scott. It is uncertain what happened to that structure, but the present post office stands on the same site and has been there since 1910.

Today, the Post Office is still opened, stop by to say Hi! and complete your Yukon Explorer’s Passeport!
